Diabetes Test

Tracking blood sugar levels with a diabetes test is an essential part of maintaining a healthy diet and a healthy you. By tracking your blood sugar levels, you can see exactly where you stand and how your diet and lifestyle may be affecting your health. If you're feeling sluggish, eat too much or too little, feel confused, irritable, or tired, your blood sugar levels could be out of whack.

At WellnessFX, we know how important a regular diabetes test is. Not only do we offer advanced testing without a doctor's referral, we have our own crew of licensed and certified practitioners available to answer your questions. Knowing and understanding changes in blood sugar levels can help you regulate your health with simple changes in diet and exercise - hopefully before you have to incorporate medications.

There are two things that can go wrong with your blood sugar levels. High blood sugar, known as hyperglycemia, means you don't have enough insulin your body (a hormone that helps your body absorb glucose from the blood). Hyperglycemia may occur when you eat more than you exercise, when you're experiencing high levels of stress, or if you're not managing your diabetes correctly.

Low blood sugar or hypoglycemia, on the other hand, occurs when the level of sugar in your body drops too low. Hypoglycemia may be caused when you exercise too much and eat too little or regularly skip meals. Low blood glucose can make you feel weak, shaky, confused, irritable, and tired.

Diabetes patients constantly track their glucose levels, but what about those who haven't been diagnosed or simply want to keep track of their glucose levels over time? WellnessFX empowers members to understand and improve their health by combining advanced biomarker analysis with an intuitive health dashboard to track and trend their data. For instance, our Baseline package includes HbA1c, one of the best indicators for pre-diabetes. HbA1c measures your average blood sugar over the last few months, instead of the last few days.
